CharMax supplies aluminum from pure 1060 and 1100, through formable 3003 and marine-grade 5052, the 6000-series extrusion alloys 6060, 6063, 6061, 6005A and 6082, to high-strength 7005 and 7075. Pure grades maximise conductivity; 5052 resists corrosion; 6063 gives the best extruded surface; 6061 is the all-round structural grade; 7075 is the strongest.

Which aluminum grades does CharMax supply?
1060, 1100, 3003, 5052, 6060, 6061, 6063, 6005A, 6082, 7005 and 7075 — as extruded profiles, tubes, bars and rods, and plate and sheet — all cast in-house from primary aluminum.
What is the most common aluminum alloy for extrusion?
6063. It extrudes easily into complex shapes, gives the best surface and anodizing quality, and offers enough strength for most architectural, thermal and framing applications.
Which aluminum alloy is strongest for extrusion?
Among the common 6000-series extrusion alloys, 6082-T6 and 6061-T6 are the strongest (roughly 260–340 MPa tensile). 7000-series alloys are stronger still but are harder to extrude and are used for specialist applications.
How do I choose between 6063 and 6061?
