Which channel gets you an answer fastest
All three reach the same sales engineering team in Dongguan; the difference is what you can attach and how fast the exchange moves.
- WhatsApp — short questions, order status and photos from the line. Best when you need a yes or no the same day.
- Email — drawings, specifications, certificates and anything you need a written record of.
- The quote form — a complete enquiry in one go: drawing upload, alloy, finish, length and quantity, so the first reply can already carry a price.
We correspond in English and Chinese, and the whole team works UTC+8. Sending your enquiry before you finish your day means it is read the next morning here.
After you write
What happens next
- An engineer reads the section, not just the enquiry. We check wall thicknesses, tongue ratios and the circumscribing circle against our press range, and say so if a small change would make the part cheaper or more consistent.
- You get a quotation with the tooling separated out. Profile price per kilo or per metre, die cost, finishing and machining are itemised, so you can see what a design change actually saves.
- Samples before production. For a new die we extrude, finish and measure first articles and send a dimensional report against your drawing.
- One team stays with the order. The same people answer through extrusion, finishing, inspection and export documents — see the company facts for the plant, grades and certifications behind that.
FAQ
Questions buyers ask before the first email
How quickly does CharMax Aluminum reply?
Engineering reply within one business day. The plant and the sales engineers are in Dongguan, China (UTC+8), so a message sent during European or American working hours is usually answered by the following morning your time.
What should I send to get a quotation?
A drawing (PDF, DWG, DXF or STEP) or a sketch with the main dimensions, plus the alloy and temper if you know them, the finish, the cut length and the annual quantity. If you do not have a drawing yet, describe the part and what it has to do — an engineer will come back with a section proposal. See how to prepare an RFQ.
Do I have to buy a die?
Only for a custom section. If a standard size from the profile library fits, there is no tooling cost and no die lead time. For a custom profile the die is made, trialled and then stored and maintained at the plant for your repeat orders — see the FAQ for what that costs and how long it takes.
Can I visit the factory or send an inspector?
Yes. The plant is in Tangxia, Dongguan, about an hour from Shenzhen and two from Guangzhou — see the factory page for what you would see. Third-party inspections are welcome; tell us the inspection standard and sampling plan in advance.
