What is CharMax Aluminum?
CharMax Aluminum is an aluminum extrusion manufacturer in Tangxia, Dongguan, China, founded in 1996, that casts its own billets from primary aluminum, designs dies and extrudes custom profiles, tubes and bars on 20 extrusion lines with presses from 600 to 2,000 tonnes, with machining and finishing in-house.

We manufacture, in our own 30,000 m² plant with 20 extrusion lines (600–2,000 t), melting and casting furnaces and in-house die design. See the factory.

In Tangxia Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, China — an industrial manufacturing centre of the Pearl River Delta with good transport links for export.

Ordering and minimums
What is your minimum order quantity?
Custom profiles are quoted by weight with a minimum run set by press setup — typically a few hundred kilograms per profile across the industry. Your quotation states the minimum for your section. Standard profiles can often be ordered in smaller quantities.
How do I get a quote?
Send a drawing, alloy and temper, lengths, volumes and finish through our RFQ form. See the RFQ checklist.
Can I order samples first?
Yes. New custom profiles always start with samples for approval; standard profiles can be sampled in short lengths.
What happens if there is a quality problem?
Any product quality problem: return or replacement. A dedicated contact handles your order from enquiry to after-sales.
What is your production capacity?
About 30,000 tonnes a year.
Dies and tooling
How much does an extrusion die cost?
For most small and medium profiles, from a few hundred to a few thousand US dollars — a one-time cost itemised in the quote. See die cost and lead time.
Who owns the die?
A die you pay for is made for your profile only and is not used for other customers. Ownership and storage terms are stated in the quotation.
How long until I get samples?
Typically around two to three weeks for a standard custom profile; complex hollow dies can take longer. Your quote states the lead time for your section.
Alloys, tempers and tolerances
Which aluminum grades do you supply?
1060, 1100, 3003, 5052, 6060, 6061, 6063, 6005A, 6082, 7005, 7075 — as profiles, tubes, bars and rods, and plate and sheet. See the alloy selector.
Do you use recycled aluminum?
No. Billets are cast in-house from primary aluminum only, with no recycled scrap, and every melt is verified on a SPECTROMAX spectrometer.
What is the difference between T5 and T6?
T5 is press-quenched and artificially aged; T6 is solution heat treated and artificially aged for higher strength. See temper designations.
Which tolerance standards do you work to?
EN 755-9, EN 12020-2, ANSI H35.2 / ASTM B221 and GB/T 14846, or the tolerances on your drawing. See the tolerance guide.
Finishing and fabrication
Which finishes do you offer?
Mill finish, Anodizing, Hard anodizing, Powder coating, Electrophoretic coating, Brushing, Polishing, Sandblasting, Wood-grain transfer. Compare them in surface finishes.
Can you machine profiles?
Yes — cutting, CNC machining, drilling, tapping, punching, bending and assembly. See CNC machining & fabrication.
Can you match a RAL color?
Yes, with powder coating, matched against a reference panel you approve.
Shipping and documents
How are profiles packed for export?
With protective film, interleaving, foam, bundling or wooden crates, labelled to your part numbers. See export packing.
Can 6 m profiles ship in a 20-foot container?
No — a 20-foot container's internal length is about 5.9 m. Mill-length profiles ship in 40-foot containers, or are cut shorter before shipping.
Which documents do you provide?
Commercial invoice, packing list, material certificates and inspection reports, plus a certificate of origin on request.
