04Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between 1100 and 1060 aluminum?
1060 is purer (≥ 99.6 %) and slightly more conductive; 1100 (≥ 99.0 %) contains a little copper, making it somewhat stronger. Both are soft, formable and non-heat-treatable.
