02Why primary aluminum only
Recycled scrap brings variable trace elements that can shift mechanical properties and show up as streaks or color variation after anodizing. By using only primary aluminum — with no scrap added — every billet starts from known chemistry, which matters most for anodized consumer parts, precision machining and certified structural components.

04Frequently asked questions
Does CharMax use recycled aluminum?
No. Billets are cast from primary aluminum only, with no recycled scrap added, for consistent chemistry and finish.
How is billet composition checked?
Each melt is analysed on a SPECTROMAX benchtop direct-reading optical emission spectrometer before the billets are released to extrusion.
Why does casting your own billets matter to buyers?
It removes a supplier from the chain and lets us control chemistry directly — the foundation of consistent strength, machinability and anodized appearance.
