02What matters in machine building
- Straightness and twist. Extrusion tolerances suit framing; linear guides need machined datum faces, which we mill after extrusion.
- Stiffness. Deflection usually governs before strength — size members by their second moment of area (Ix, Iy).
- Wear and appearance. Clear or black anodizing protects frames in daily use.
- Assembly time. Pre-cut, pre-tapped and labelled parts cut hours from every build.

04Frequently asked questions
Why use aluminum extrusions instead of welded steel for machine frames?
Aluminum framing is lighter, needs no welding or painting, resists corrosion, and can be modified with standard fasteners. It suits machines that change during their life. Welded steel remains better for very heavy, high-vibration bases.
Can you machine datum faces for linear guides?
Yes. Extruded surfaces follow standard straightness tolerances, so faces that locate linear guides or bearings are milled after extrusion to the flatness your drawing requires.
Do you kit parts per machine?
Yes. Cut and machined parts can be packed and labelled per machine or sub-assembly, following your bill of materials.
