Capabilities

One Chain, from Drawing to Packed Part

Every step that turns a drawing into a finished aluminum component, run in-house under one quality system.

In short

CharMax Aluminum's capabilities cover the full extrusion chain: DFM review and die design, hot extrusion and aging to T5/T6, CNC machining and fabrication, anodizing and coating, inspection, and export packing and documentation.

The chain

Eight steps, one supplier

Hand-offs between suppliers are where tolerances drift and schedules slip. Keeping the chain together removes them.

01

DFM review

Drawing checked for extrudability, tolerances and cost.

02

Die design

Solid, semi-hollow or porthole die designed and trialled.

03

Extrusion

Billet heating, extrusion, press quench and stretching.

04

Aging

Artificial aging to T5 or T6, confirmed by hardness.

05

Fabrication

Cutting, CNC machining, punching, bending.

06

Finishing

Anodizing, powder, e-coat, mechanical finishes.

07

Inspection

Dimensions, hardness, coating and cosmetics.

08

Packing

Protected, labelled and planned for the container.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does in-house mean at CharMax?

Die design, extrusion, aging, fabrication and finishing run under one quality system, so one team is accountable for the finished part instead of several subcontractors.

Can you only extrude, without machining or finishing?

Yes. Mill-finish profiles in standard or cut lengths are available for customers who fabricate themselves.
