Applications
Where led profiles are used
Internal width determines the maximum LED strip width. Diffusers clip into the hooks along the top edges.
Surface-mounted channels sit on the face of a shelf, cabinet or ceiling and need no routing; recessed channels drop into a groove so the diffuser finishes flush with the surface. Match the depth to how much of the beam you want to hide: a deeper channel shields the strip from view at wider angles, a shallow one spreads light sooner.
The channel is also the heat sink for the strip. Continuous runs above roughly 10 W per metre last longer on a heavier section with a flat, well-contacted base, and the strip should be stuck down along its whole length rather than at a few points.
We supply the extruded channel in 6063-T5, anodized silver or black and cut to your lengths, with drilling, tapping or end machining on request. Diffusers, end caps and clips are not extruded parts, so we do not supply them.

Questions
What strip width fits an LED profile?
Choose a profile whose internal width is at least the strip width plus a small clearance — typically about 0.5–1 mm.
Surface-mounted or recessed?
Surface-mounted channels screw or clip onto the face and need no groove, so they suit retrofits and cabinet work. Recessed channels sit in a routed slot and finish flush, which suits new joinery and plasterboard. Both are extruded in the same alloy and finishes.
Do you supply diffusers and end caps?
No. We extrude, finish and cut the aluminum channel; diffusers are usually extruded polycarbonate or acrylic and end caps are moulded, so buy them with your LED strip and tell us which diffuser you use so the hooks match.
Can you cut LED profiles to length and machine them?
Yes. Cut-to-length is standard, and we can drill, tap, punch or machine the channel to your drawing before anodizing.
Which finish for an LED channel?
Clear (silver) anodizing is the default and keeps the inside reflective; black anodizing hides the channel against dark ceilings and furniture. Both are 10 µm or more and will not peel.
